Trekking in Bolschije Koty
This tour is available from the mid of June to the mid of September

It’s pretty much the same as the one above. However those who have chosen the 2 day version will have time to explore the old gold mines in the vicinity of Bolshiye Koty village, climb on top a natural observation point and enjoy Russian sauna before dinner in a small cozy tourist facility on Lake Baikal shore. Hiking to Listvyanka village is undertaken on day 2. Drive back from Listvyanka to Irkutsk by public bus.

Leichtere Variante der Tour von Koty nach Listwjanka
1 day hike in the vicinity of Bolshiye Koty village (available from the mid of June to the mid of September, 7-10 km long)

This trip would be the best choice for those who do not feel confident about hiking 24 km in one day. You’ll get to Bolshiye Koty village and back to Irkutsk city by regular boat and will have about 6 hours to explore the area and have lunch in a family. You can either walk to the old gold mines, or if it’s a good day climb on top a natural observation point, or just walk along the shore of Lake Baikal along a beautiful trail.
